Coaching
Coaching is not advice. It is the art of asking the question someone has been avoiding.
Coaching is a results-oriented process in which a person is accompanied from point A to point B, crossing the bridge of difficulties that stands between them. It has structure, it has sessions, and it has a planned ending.
What separates it from a good conversation is discipline: structured questions, commitments between sessions, and the polite refusal to accept the first answer. The first answer is almost always the one the person has already given themselves many times.
Here the Enneagram works as an accelerator. Knowing the pattern of the person in front of you saves weeks, because it tells you in advance where this particular person will want to hide.

- Define point B
Concrete, verifiable and dated. Without it this isn't coaching, it's venting.
- Name the bridge
What stands between the two points, and how long it has stood there.
- Work between sessions
Change happens on the days in between, not during the hour.
- Close it
A process that never ends was never a process.
Is there a change you keep putting off?
If you know where you want to get to but keep running into the same difficulty along the way, we can work out whether a coaching process makes sense for you.
